Year: 2017NTS Radio—Nuts to Soup
The graphic language created for NTS, was based on the idea of communication with the freedom of the internet, being a brand that can be seen as non-physical, open and accessible, the idea of NTS is that it reaches far beyond the physical community, taking the concept of sampling (reusing, looping, and repetition) and letting this notion influence the ecosystem of what NTS is, creating a dynamic language and narrative, where the visuals and print materials are influenced by this idea. An online radio station based in London with studios in Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Manchester. Broadcasting underground music live, 24/7. A family of like-minded and passionate individuals, dedicated to supporting exciting music and culture through online radio. NTS uncovers the best of the musical past, celebrates the present and cultivates the future of the non-mainstream music and the scenes that surround it, and prides itself on being open-minded and experimental. Logo form acts as a communication statement, with the idea of using language as a medium. The mark is a representation of their diversity within their programming and audience, the graphic symbol of the colon introduces the logical consequence. Process book for NTS Radio contains all the work created within 14 weeks, 4 sections of unused forms and typographic explorations.
